Astronaut: We want to put kitties in space and have them float around in zero gravity.

Actually, they are not in space but in an aircraft that is intentionally nose diving to earth to simulate zero gravity. The flight only lasts for about 30 seconds before the aircraft has to pull out of the nose dive.
